Meet Katherine | Therapist for Individuals & Couples in New York

 Mental Health Counselor- Limited Permit
Helping individuals and couples build healthy communication, set boundaries with confidence, and heal patterns that no longer serve them.

You can stop pretending you’re “fine.” You deserve relationships that feel safe including the one you have with yourself.

Maybe you’ve always been the one others turn to the helper, the peacekeeper, the one who’s “got it all together.” But inside, it feels like you're always bracing for something to fall apart.

Maybe you’ve been hurt in past relationships and don’t trust yourself to pick someone safe. Or maybe boundaries are hard you either say nothing and resent it or speak up and feel guilty.

It’s not that you’re “too sensitive.” It’s that no one ever showed you how to trust your voice or feel worthy of your needs.

I help individuals and couples work through anxiety, communication struggles, and the emotional impact of trauma so they can reconnect with themselves, and with others, in a deeper and healthier way.

Who I Work With

I support adults and couples who are ready to shift the way they relate both to others and to themselves. You might be:

  • Struggling with self-worth or harsh inner criticism
  • Unsure what healthy boundaries even look like (or how to keep them)
  • Stuck in people-pleasing or feeling responsible for others’ emotions
  • Repeating the same relationship patterns and wanting something different
  • Navigating spiritual tension, identity shifts, or big life transitions

I also work with couples who want to:

  • Improve their communication and connection
  • Understand what’s healthy and unhealthy in their relationship dynamic
  • Learn to express emotions clearly, without blame or shutdown
How I Help

My approach is collaborative, affirming, and grounded in your values. You bring your lived experience. I bring tools to help you process it, reframe it, and heal through it.

  • Person-Centered Therapy - This approach provides an empathic safe space for the client to realize their full potential.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- We’ll challenge unhelpful thoughts and replace them with compassionate, reality-based truths
  • Interpersonal Therapy- We’ll look at the emotional roles you take on in relationships and practice healthier patterns
  • Strengths-Based Therapy- Together, we’ll identify and build on what’s already strong within you
  • Faith-Integrated Therapy (when requested): I can help you reconnect with your spirituality in a way that feels healing, not shame-based
A Little About Me

I’m have completed my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at NYU and have a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a focus in Mind-Body Health. I am currently working towards hours for my licensure.  I’ve worked with a range of clients navigating everything from anxiety and low self-esteem to trauma, identity work, and relational tension.

I’m especially passionate about helping clients rediscover who they are beneath their coping and believe that healing doesn’t have to mean doing it alone.

Let’s Work Together

You don’t have to stay small to keep the peace. You’re allowed to take up space in your relationships, your healing, and your future.
