Anxiety and Trauma Therapist in New York

 Mental Health Counselor- Graduate Intern
My goal is for clients to acquire a better understanding of themselves and help them explore the root causes of their issues while validating their unique experiences.
  • Do you suffer from negative thoughts about yourself that impact your self-worth?
  • Have you had difficulty maintaining healthy relationships or creating boundaries with others?
  • Are you dealing with overwhelming stress, anxiety, or depression from difficult life transitions?
I Help With

I help clients challenge negative thoughts, recognize their strengths, build communication skills, and process/overcome trauma.

How I Help
  • Person-Centered Therapy - This approach provides an empathic safe space for the client to realize their full potential.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- This allows me to help the clients correct faulty or unhelpful ways of thinking, adjust patterns of unhelpful behavior, and practice better ways of coping.
  • Interpersonal Therapy- Utilizing this approach improves the client's impersonal functioning and teaches effective strategies for dealing with their relationship problems through the exploration of conflict in relationships, life changes, grief or loss, and difficulties in starting or sustaining relationships.
  • Strengths-Based Therapy- There is a focus on recognizing and cultivating internal strengths and resourcefulness that improve resilience and create a positive outlook.
  • Trauma-Focused Therapy- The purpose of this approach is to understand how the traumatic experience impacts a client's mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being and develop a more adaptive meaning of the experience.

I specialize in helping

  • Self-esteem Issues
  • Relationship Issues
  • Stress/Anxiety
  • Major Life Changes
  • Trauma (Particularly Sexual Trauma)
